I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I do love a challenge and I understand the benefits of such granular control over every aspect of the environment, but it definitely seems like a piece of software that would take a decade to master. I'm just playing around as well as a hobbyist, so it's not like my job depends on it. I almost feel at a disadvantage knowing what I do outside of that flow as I'm always looking for the shortcuts to do something that I thought was simple (in C4d). (homogeneous) volume X-Particles is THE must-have particle plugin for Cinema 4D The Object tag can be applied to emitters, thinking particle setups. Going to the node driven workflow of DOP, POP, VOP, CHOP and SHOPs has got my head spinning a bit. I just started messing around with Houdini lately, and holy Crap! I haven't felt like I knew nothing about 3D in a long time, and this made me feel like I'm starting over from day one. I know this is a c4d thread but there are probably a few more sympathetic ears here.
